This short notice is provided at or before the point of collection, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and comparable state laws. It summarizes what we collect and why. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Categories of personal information we collect
- Identifiers: full name, email address.
- Geographic data: ZIP code, city, and U.S. state.
- Vehicle information: year, make, model, purchase/lease type, acquisition date, registration details.
- Commercial, household & property information: household income bracket, prior rebate history, home ownership status (own or rent), home EV-charging setup, electrical-panel information, and current electric-utility rate plan - used to determine eligibility for vehicle, home-charger, electrical-panel, and utility rate-plan incentives and savings.
- Vehicle usage: approximate annual mileage (used to estimate rate-plan and charging-related savings).
- Prospective-purchase information (users considering an EV): the vehicle(s) under consideration, expected purchase price and timing, and whether you plan to keep, sell, trade, or retire an existing vehicle - used to estimate pre-purchase incentives and prepare a purchase-and-ownership plan.
- Internet/device activity: IP address, browser and device data, cookies, and usage analytics.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, vehicle identification numbers (VINs), precise geolocation, or uploaded documents.
Why we collect it
To run your eligibility assessment, generate and deliver your Rebate Hub, provide optional monitoring alerts and notifications, process payment, provide support, secure the platform, and meet legal obligations. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by law.
Sale or sharing
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising and analytics activity may qualify as "sharing" under state privacy law; you may opt out at any time using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer or by emailing legal@turboev.ai. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required.
Because we deploy Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on our platform, our processing of certain unique online identifiers and device metadata may constitute 'sharing' under the CCPA. To opt out, please click our website footer link titled 'Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information' or broadcast a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized. See the Privacy Policy for details.
We retain Identifiers, Geographic data, Vehicle information, and Household property data for the duration of your active account or until you submit a verified deletion request, after which PII is scrubbed. If you purchase the Rebate Hub, we retain core billing records for a minimum statutory period of seven (7) years to satisfy federal and state tax compliance and fraud audits.
Your rights and contact
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of sale/sharing, subject to applicable law. To exercise these rights, email legal@turboev.ai.
